Curtis McCain is a dynamic multi-percussionist who plays a variety of rhythms and genres. He has been playing professionally for 24 years, performing with some of the biggest names in smooth jazz and is known for lighting up the stage with his latin and afro-cuban flavor as well as his strong in the pocket grooves.
Curtis has performed shows with Keiko Matsui, Gerald Veasley, Karen Briggs, Gerald Albright, Alex Bugnon, Chieli Minucci, Rick Braun, Eric Darius, James Lloyd, Everette Harp, Patti Austin, Nelson Rangell, Ray Fuller, Lao Tizer, Jeff Lorber, Randy Brecker, Eric Marienthal, Bobby Lyle, Adam Hawley, Lindsey Webster, Oli Silk, Keith Slattery, Chris "Big Dog" Davis, Will Donato, Jazmin Ghent, Elliot Yamin, Brian Bromberg, Blake Aaron, Tom Braxton, Jeff Ryan, Aubrey Logan, Greg Manning, Lin Rountree, Paula Atherton, Willie Bradley, Dean Brown, Carol Albert, Patrick Lamb, Rob Zinn, Andrew Neu, Dee Lucas, David P. Curtis also opened for bands such as ZZ Top, Steve Miller Band and John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
